Meredith Caisley

Meredith has been Principal Consultant of her own Consultancy for over 40 years. She is a Registered Speech Teacher lecturing at the Auckland University of Technology where she specialises in Business Communication.  She is a Trustee of the NZ Speech Board and an examiner travelling throughout New Zealand.

When Meredith established her Consultancy she worked with students from the age of 4 years as that is when language skills become so evident.  Over the years she has specialised in the development of these skills throughout a child’s development into adulthood. Her particular interest now is the training and preparation of those in the corporate workforce, enabling them to share their knowledge and expertise both within New Zealand and offshore.

Jacqué Mandeno
BA(Hons), PGDip.Int.Com., LTCL, RTSCA

When Jacqué was at school she studied speech and drama to ATCL level, and her life has come full circle since then, as she now teaches speaking and drama to new generations. After years of university (English literature and history) and family (three children, from 19 to 12 years) and a lengthy sojourn in Australia, Jacqué returned to New Zealand, and to teaching. The first step was gaining the LTCL qualification under Meredith Caisley’s tutelage. Since then Jacqué has taught at the Consultancy, and as an itinerant in various schools on the North Shore and is now teaching speech and drama fulltime, in addition to teaching public speaking and drama at the Consultancy. She has recently been accredited as a Cambridge drama assessor, and in 2006 she graduated with a postgraduate diploma in international communication, living the Consultancy philosophy that learning is for life, and communication is central to all our endeavours.

Mikaila Hutchison

Mikaila has been passionate about drama and performance since she began taking classes at seven years old.
She progressed through Trinity Guild Hall and New Zealand Speech Board, Speech and Drama and Public Speaking to Grade eight, attaining Honours and Distinction in both these exams.
Mikaila enjoys encouraging confidence in her pupils, whilst realising the “fun aspect” that is necessary with young children. In this way Mikaila is able to   enrich the student’s ability to speak and perform confidently and comfortably.
Mikaila is currently studying for her degree in communications and also her ASB.
Mikaila’s enthusiasm for drama has seen her appear in both television and film in New Zealand.
